Follow this emergency response protocol immediately if you suspect you are a victim of cyber fraud.
For severe monetary fraud, reporting within the first 1-2 hours drastically increases the chances of freezing the fraudster's account and recovering your money. Do not wait!
Stop all communication with the scammer. Immediately dial the National Cyber Crime Reporting Helpline at 1930 to report unauthorized financial transactions.
Call your bank's customer care or use your mobile banking app to instantly block your debit/credit cards, freeze your bank account, and stop UPI capabilities (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm).
File a formal, detailed written complaint on the Government of India's official portal: cybercrime.gov.in. Keep the acknowledgment number safe.
Do not delete chats! Take clear screenshots of WhatsApp/Telegram conversations, SMS messages, call logs, fake website URLs, and the exact UPI/Transaction IDs from your bank statement.
Change the passwords for your email and all social media accounts immediately. Turn on Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) everywhere to prevent the hackers from locking you out.
Our Cyber Sathi AI Assistant and trained volunteers are standing by to guide you through the reporting process in real-time.
